3 Part Offer helped me get a new client today!
I just got through the initial marketing videos. For a consultation this morning I thought it would be fun to try using the 3 part offer. This made the interaction of explaining what I'm offering as a 'producer' (apart from an 'engineer') so much smoother than any other consultation I've had up until this point. Now we have a songwriting session locked in and most likely a full production in the near future! Thanks Dark Label!

First $5K month!
May was officially my first month cracking $5K, almost exclusively from productions (and closer to $6K actually in the end). Even though it's just a number, it feels like a really solid milestone since it was my short-term income goal when I joined Dark Label. I was only bringing in ~$2K/mo around then just 6 months ago. $6K EP Project
Hey everyone, Yesterday I closed another big project this year. It’s going to be a bossa nova/rock album that I’m super excited about. What helped me close was pitching the momentum model and taking monthly payments instead of taking payments phase by phase. Happy to share that I just got confirmation to work on a new song with an artist I connect with musically, at a good rate and with the project of keeping it moving to make a 10 song album over the next 12-18 months. Closed $7k worth of Projects in 2 Days!
I just got back from a little holiday, and I closed $7k worth of projects in 2 days. 1 project through my network, 1 through outreach, and 3 from YouTube! I still have another project from a returning client I should close on Monday, so maybe $8K! The beginning of the year wasn't the easiest due to some not-so-great decision-making (I learned some business lessons the hard way), so that feels good!

Aha moment 💡 sales win
Had a huge realization yesterday during a call with Dan We were digging into why I wasn’t closing as many sales as I’d like and long story short — we found out I was skipping over the 3 part offer (Prescribe the solution) So today, I had a sales call with someone looking to get a song mixed and this time, I made sure to go through the full framework, especially emphasizing the 3-part offer Closed the deal, collected a deposit, and wasn’t even met with any pushback on the price Just wanted to share this in case anyone else might be missing a vital step in their calls

Sharing a win
I've definitely been in the early stages of my Dark Label journey for a little while, but an artist I work with liked their first EP so much that they've booked me for an album two songs at a time for the coming three months. Still at lower prices since my business is in the early stages, but good work led to steady work and steady work leads to steady engagement. All thanks to what I'm learning from the community here. 4 Wins Back to Back
A goal that I've had is to increase the amount of projects that I close per month. So far it's been 1 a month since November. Dan and I went over my numbers and decided that I would need to increase outreach to get more closes. That has, in turn, resulted in me closing 4 projects back to back. Two this week. Sup guys! Just chiming in to say that I've closed a project with an artist who decided to do a song with me - it went so well that they've decided to do 4 more songs together. After a bunch of back and forth, I just got the deposit. This is the biggest project I've actually closed to date, which is really exciting and motivating! Definitely feels like a shift toward stability after so many one off sessions and songs. Trying to rope in a few more package deals over here. Anyways keep at it guys! If you stay consistent you'll succeed.

Two wins recently
Yesterday I brought on my second momentum model client since joining Dark Label at 600-700/month sliding scale, and today I had a great first session with a client who is paying me 1200 per song. Having a process has seriously changed the game for me. Still working on improving systems and skills ofc. To be honest things were looking bleak when my process wasn’t dialed in, it’s been mad inspiring to see things actually working. Appreciate yall for helping me put the pieces together 🤙🏼🤙🏼 Stoked to see how this process develops over time

Some recent wins!
Thought I would share some wins from the last few months as I’ve been a bit quiet. I’ve been working with my production team (my roommates) to get clients and produce together as a trio. It’s been working surprisingly well so far, but still lots to improve on. Finished an album…
I started co-producing an album with my good mate/long term client Steven Bamidele right after I joined Dark Label. Focused on this project for the whole of last year and it’s finally done! YouTube Mastermind works!!!
I've really enjoyed learning from others experiences on the youtube mastermind calls and I'm so happy to say that it's really starting to make a difference for my channel. Being around other like minded youtube creators has helped me change my mindset to one of consistency and improvement with each post and getting to learn from others wins (and mistakes, including mine 😅), I've finally had a video go 1 of 10 for the first time since October of last year! I've also noticed others doing really well on their channels too and I hope we all keep the momentum going! Super excited for the next call

Closed 2 New Full-Rate Songs in One Day
Just closed two full rate songs in one day, both the day after 3 hr trial sessions. Something I've seen really work well for artists who value great production but need help with cashflow on their end is offering to go on a monthly plan with one song. I would recommend you get them on an mandatory autopay system (I use Honeybook invoicing for that) and have in your payment terms that work will discontinue if they don't finish payment, miss a payment, pause payments, etc. If I feel resistance on ...   Apr '25Nice job, Kory. Thanks for sharing! That's an interesting way to look at it. You're thinking like a business. And this isn't just a music thing... Look at the fact that Klarna and Afterpay are available for almost every product and service now-a-days. Not saying that's good or bad... I'm just saying that even the biggest companies in the world are getting creative when it comes to billing.
